About Matthew Dickens
I originated from the quaint village of Brixworth in Northamptonshire, UK, where I became the first member of my family to leave and pursue higher education. This journey led me to Greater Manchester, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Computer Management and Electronics.
My career began with a transformative year-long placement at Mars International in Reading, UK. There, I worked on groundbreaking projects, including addressing security vulnerabilities in vending machines. I was entrusted with developing code solutions to prevent these issues, which laid the foundation for my passion for technology and security.
Transitioning into the association sector, I further honed my skills in data reporting, crafting detailed reports for various stakeholders, including departments, council members, and board members. My responsibilities extended to overseeing all IT equipment, ensuring seamless operation of the CMS and AMS applications. Here, I recognized the critical role that effective reporting plays in organizational success.
My career advanced at Protech, which was later acquired by TogetherWork, where I specialized in developing Power BI sales and financial reports. I created templates that could be integrated into client applications, enabling users to quickly generate custom reports and benefit from Power BI’s full functionality without complex licensing issues.
Outside of my professional life, I am an avid Formula One enthusiast. Since childhood, I have enjoyed watching races with family and friends, and I am also a dedicated fan of the Soccer World Cup.
On a personal note, I cherish time with my two wonderful children—one daughter and one son—and our beloved English Bulldog, Winston, who brings joy and humor to our lives.
